Prescription: Patient must take an alive and open-minded interest in current affairs. After a few months of this initial treatment he should gradually form his own personal outlooks and opinions. If convalescence has been favorable thus far, he must take the final step towards complete recovery . . . action! Physician's Remarks: This action should include a daily dose of school interest, to strengthen patient ... a pep pill. And Then . . . WELL—IT STARTED. It spread slowly but steadily. A small band of people kept plugging for spirit by sending good will to other schools and starting campaigns for further participation in sports in their own school.      When these paid off, they had a faint glimmer of hope that every one would catch on.      Basketball season invoked spirit to attend the games and show good sportsmanship to the opposing teams and their cheerers It was important to get everyone at the games but it was more important that those present at the game would show all respect to spirit.      This wasn't easy. The spectators loved to rib the other team when they were winning or boo them when they were losing And they couldn't stand to sit back and let the other side call them names.      But those few tried to correct this, too, and gradually the kids came across. And the games were really fun.
